West Virginia Medicaid Recipients' Union |
|
There are nearly 400,000 Medicaid recipients in West Virginia. That's over 20% of the population! If you add to that the families & loved ones of those Medicaid recipients, we represent a significant segment of West Virginia voters across all demographic groups -- gender, age, ethnicity, disability, race. MRU WV is a consortium of Medicaid recipients & their families. Separately, we have little chance of being heard over the multi-million dollar nursing home and behavioral healthcare industries. United, we can ensure that policymakers are responsive to our needs. We can bring about systemic change that will improve the lives of people who rely upon Medicaid. After all, it's our program and our tax dollars paying for it! If you are a Medicaid recipient, or the parent/legal guardian of a Medicaid recipient, please JOIN US! While not required for membership, we request that each member make an annual contribution. The recommended contribution amount is $20, although you are welcome to donate more if you have the means (or less if you do not). Checks or money orders should be made payable to MRU WV. If you are unable to contribute financially, we'd be happy to have a contribution of your time & energy! ~ ~ ~ For those involved with Medicaid waiver programs in West Virginia, MRU WV recommends subscription to the WV Waiver Families Yahoo!Group: |
